This was a fast paced, anxiety ridden, page turning, blood shedding book! I was taken in quite early and didn’t stop. Lucien and Elena have been raised in the same circles but have very different views on how they want to live the rest of their lives. Elena has basically been a prisoner or protected by her father. She wants out at any cost. She does not want live this life and is desperate to get away. Lucien knows that he will be the head of a powerful mob family soon and thrives in this setting. When they meet at St. Monarch Academy there is fireworks. Elena knows she is supposed to stay away from Lucien but can’t fight the attraction. Things turn ugly quickly and they find themselves in one hell of a position.

This was a great mafia book that had a little of everything. Family secrets are revealed, characters are killed and the sexy scenes are steamy. Definitely looking forward to more from this author.
