I don’t know what it is about these small town romances but they have me swooning and sighing all over the place. Both Winslow and Griffin were very likable characters. I love a strong heroine and Winslow didn’t let me down with her steady gut instincts, high morale character and low drama attitude. I simply was very impressed with a great no-nonsense heroine that I could firmly side with. Griffin was an unfaltering family guy…protective, trustworthy and not afraid to go after what he wanted. A steady, stable guy…who Winslow could spend time with…or not. She didn’t need him to do her job or live her life. BUT the chemistry between the two…thank you. SO GOOD! The entire story was such a pleasure to read and felt like a warm, comfy embrace. The twists in the investigation were great and kept you guessing. Perfect start to a new small town series that I know I’ll fall in love with.
