As far as a small town romance series, the Calamity Montana books always steals my heart. Cal and Nellie have some serious bad blood. He was a bit spoiled, misguided but extremely talented in football. And he kinda crushed on Nellie and with his awkward brash manner tried to protect her. Nellie was a bright scholarship student who was bullied because of her lack of money and natural beauty inside and out. These enemies had that crazy chemistry that kept bringing them together again and again. I felt so bad for Cal. He truly had a good heart that he built a shell around to keep from getting hurt. Nellie was at times quick to judge…and I wanted to shake her to get her to lighten up. Harry…the BEST CHARACTER EVER. She always gave me a quick laugh and I loved her blunt, in your face manner. She knew how to make a statement and was old enough to get away with it. She was the best spirit guide for Cal. This story was another hit for the town of Calamity and I’m DYING for the next book. What a lead in at the end of The Bully!
