This was one of those books that you start and can’t put down. Joey and Logan are best friends since they were young and super close. Through bad times and good, they are always there for each other and there are a lot of both. It’s a friend to lovers storyline and Logan is the blueprint for the perfect man. He truly is the most genuine person with a heart of gold but leads people to believe what they want about him even if it’s bad.

Joey and Logan have always had an attraction to the other but out of respect of their friendship neither acts on those feelings. Due to an unfortunate miscommunication Joey feels the need to take off and use the excuse of her ailing grandmother to leave Logan and all his playboy ways. Her heart can’t take watching Logan with other women, and she realizes that she is wasting her time pining for him. He is heartbroken she is gone, longs for her and feels like he did something to offend her and make her leave. Boy, men are stupid.

Fast forward a few months and Joey is back for a wedding. Logan is not going to pass up any opportunity to spend time with her. Only Logan has a few secrets of his own that he is harboring and knows that if he wants to tell Joey how he truly feels about her he must tell her about these secrets. It was heartbreaking to watch these two characters who are clearly madly in love navigate through issues that arise. But it makes you see how much these two are truly soulmates. This was such a heartwarming story and the author did a fantastic job of describing the deep feelings these two have for each other. It was a great love story and I didn’t want this book to end! And did I mentioned I loved Logan and wished he was real? Will definitely read more from this author.
